About the Role:
The Financial Controller is responsible for overseeing the overall financial operations of the organisation, ensuring effective cash flow forecasting, accurate financial reporting, and strong management oversight across multiple teams and entities. This role plays a critical part in helping business owners and directors understand their financial position and upcoming commitments, providing clear insights to support sound decision-making and sustainable growth.Key Responsibilities:

About You:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or equivalent qualification preferred.
Proven experience working with Australian businesses with an annual turnover exceeding $10 million and employing more than 50 staff.
Minimum of 7 years of experience in accounting or finance, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
Strong expertise in constructing, analysing, and interpreting cash flow forecasts to support proactive financial management.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with experience liaising directly with company directors and senior stakeholders.
In-depth understanding of Australian accounting standards, taxation, and compliance requirements.
Proficient in Xero (or other cloud-based accounting systems) and advanced Excel skills.

Key Responsibilities
Design large-scale solar PV and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) in line with Australian standards and regulatory requirements.
Prepare scope designs, technical specifications, single-line diagrams, and supporting documentation.
Identify technical, safety, and operational risks, and propose effective mitigation strategies.
Analyse interval data to determine system sizing, performance outputs, and overall project feasibility.
Use design and modelling software including AutoCAD, PVSell, Orkestra, and HelioScope to produce accurate and compliant system designs.
Collaborate closely with the Head Electrical Engineer and Commercial Business Development Manager to support proposals, design refinement, and technical assessments.
Review commercial project requirements and provide technical guidance during quoting and solution development.
Ensure engineering output aligns with internal quality standards and supports successful project delivery.
Stay updated on emerging technologies, standards, and best practices relevant to solar and energy storage systems.
